    Q: What conditions do you treat and what kinds of therapies and other services do you offer?

    A: The Arroyos provide a comprehensive multidisciplinary clinical practice at our outpatient offices in Pasadena, California, and more limited mental health services at our satellite office in west Los Angeles.

    Our treatment team offers an extraordinarily wide range of integrated psychological, psychiatric, and medical services, treatments and therapies. Doctors at The Arroyos are trained to treat virtually every psychiatric and psychological condition.     The Arroyos also provides a comprehensive and wide range of therapies and related services. Most psychotherapy is provided in our offices, although our doctors do provide some psychotherapy in hospital, residential treatment settings, and intensive outpatient settings.     Q: What is "concierge" service and how does it differ from other psychotherapeutic care providers?

    A: Concierge care consists of a highly personalized and integrated approach to psychological and psychiatric care and treatment. A concierge practice develops a more comprehensive knowledge of each patient in order to deliver a more tailored and individualized course of treatment. Unlike conventional medical practices, a concierge practice also provides improved patient access to services and therapists. By eliminating the added paperwork and interference of insurance processing and approvals, our therapists and staff can deliver care faster and more efficiently. We believe providing concierge care to our patients can contribute to a treatment experience that is more comprehensive, thorough, and satisfying.

    • Neuropsychological Services.

      Our neuropsychologists are experts in the psychological aspects of brain functioning. They can perform specialized tests to better understand your brain’s functioning. We also provide cognitive retraining therapy to help restore or improve your brain’s functioning if you have certain mental disorders or if you have had a brain injury.

    • Special therapies for specific populations.

      The Arroyos psychologists offer specific types of therapy for specific disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, drug and alcohol addiction, trauma and abuse, anger management, management of diabetes, and specialized treatment for certain groups of individuals such as affirmative treatment for sexual minorities.

    • Therapy for children and adolescents.

      Our therapists can provide therapy for children as young as 5, and adolescents from age 12 to 17. We often recommend a combination of individual therapy and family therapy, and some patients may benefit from psychological testing or a medication evaluation by one of our doctors as well.
