Who We Treat

Trauma and Abuse

Trauma and abuse can cause a wide variety of physical and psychological symptoms such as anxiety, depression, dissociation, substance abuse, sleep disturbance, and difficulty making or sustaining meaningful interpersonal relationships. In severe cases of trauma the patient is often diagnosed with an Anxiety Disorder such as Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, Acute Stress Disorder, a Substance Use Disorder, or a Dissociative Disorder. The patient may also be diagnosed with other psychological disorders depending on the symptoms experienced.
